Game of Dice advances with JoyCity’s new Hello Kitty & Friends update

Game of Dice advances with JoyCity’s new Hello Kitty & Friends update

Jun 27, 2016

The table-based board game sees itself brought into the kawaii genre with its latest update, due to the integration of Sanrio favourites Hello Kitty & Friends.

The popular title finds itself with a set of new characters, who bring with them an array of new skill cards and characters. Using Boost Items and tact, players must strive to outsmart their opponents before they lose their JOY.

With an exclusive new Hello Kitty map, naturally adorned with quintessentially cutesy hearts and flowers, players can take advantage of unique new features such as ‘Mary’s Wheel’, where they can increase city tolls and the ‘Dimension Shift’ that warps gameplay once landing on the game’s ‘START’ block.

If that wasn’t enough, Sanrio introduces an entirely new character in the guise of Pom Pom Purin – a puppy adorably donning a blue fedora – who can be found within the game for free before June 23rd.

With said new character, comes two new special character moves in ‘Doodling’ and ‘Vaulting’. The former allows players to stop opponents moving until they roll a specific dice number, whilst the latter gives players the opportunity to use the Gold Ox within gameplay.

Here are the biggest 3 Ace of Arena improvements since launch

Ace of Arenas is an iOS and Android MOBA which launched back in September 2015, and has seen a whole host of improvements since then thanks to five major updates.

We’ve taken a look at these updates to rundown (no pun intended) the biggest three improvements that have been made since launch.

A wealth of new modes

If you’ve got a competitive streak, you’ll be pleased to learn that 3v3, 5v5, and Ranked Modes have been added which up the level of strategy required but includes leaderboards to top.

Players just looking for some quick fun should check out the new Fast and Furious Mode though, which introduces super buffs and movement speed bonuses to ensure its over in under 10 minutes.

And, finally, there’s a Spectator Mode for when you simply want to sit back and relax. You could also use this to watch how other player’s play your favourite champion and pick up a few tactics.

Champions galore

Speaking of champions, there are a ton more of them now as you can expect. In fact, the total number is now a whopping 54.

It’s more impressive when you counter in the fact that each of these has their own skins, abilities, and weapons to customise as well.

Be more social

If you needed an excuse to play with your friends, you might want to check out the new Clan System. Here you can group up and fight in high level ranked battles.

6-Clan system

Organisation is key in these though, so you’ll need to take advantage of the new signalling system to rely messages quickly to your teammates.

You’ll be rewarded for playing together now as well. There are a set of tasks which you can complete to earn prizes like the Legacy Musaya Skin.

And you can share all of this on social media now thanks to the share button which has been implemented across the game.

We’re not finished just yet

Ace of Arenas looks all set to expand this year as well, as a bunch of new features are planned like new champions and optimisations.

4-New chamipon

If you’re into eSports though, you’ll be excited to hear about the Pro-League and tournaments though, which look set to provide a new challenge for the playerbase.

To check out Ace of Arenas for yourself, simply head on over to the App Store or Google Play right now.

White Day: A Labyrinth Called School is a frantic South Korean horror classic, and it’s out now on Android

South Korean horror classic White Day: A Labyrinth Named School has finally been ported over to Android and iOS.

It’s a well overdue release for this extreme horror game that’s built up a cult following in the US, the UK, and Canada since it was first released in 2001.

As you can probably guess from the title, the game is set in a school, and it’s full of Asian motifs and intriguing gameplay mechanics that will keep you on the edge of whichever seat you’re playing on.

On top of that, it’s presented in gorgeous 3D, and polished throughout to the sort of shine that’s going to put a lot of console games to shine.

In fact it looks so good, and plays so well, that one YouTuber has already said that “you would never regret playing this game.”

And if that wasn’t enough, you can pick the game up right now for half price. Yeah, you read that right. Until March 20th on the App Store and Google Play Store this chunk of classic terror is 50% off.

What’s more there’s a PlayStation VR version of the game set to start development in the second half of 2016. We bet that’s going to be proper terrifying.

If you’re interested in finding out more, or getting more involved with the White Day: A Labyrinth Named School community, then the best place to start is the game’s Facebook and Instagram pages, where you’ll find events, cosplay, fan art, and a whole lot more.

Unison League has invaded Europe in the latest update

Ateam’s Unison League has invaded Europe in a brand new update that localises the entire experience in a selection of new languages on iOS and Android.

Now, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese speakers can enjoy Unison League in their native tongue.

Ateam has been very extensive in its approach though, and has even adapted the UI to ensure that the experience is just as smooth as the previous versions.

Over in North America and Japan, Unison League has been a hit since launch, regularly placing in the top 15 grossing games chart in the Japanese iTunes App Store. It’s also collaborated with some massive Japanese IPs like Attack on Titan and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Haven’t heard of Unison League? Well, it’s a unique multiplayer JRPG in which you and your friends work together to unleash Unison Attacks. These are powerful abilities which summon a creature that deals massive damage.

You’ll fight either AI in PvE or actual players in the PvP guild battles. Unison League is very focused towards social play so expect to spend plenty of time chatting to players in the lobby or customising your character.

And that customisation extends beyond just your appearance. At any point you can swap your class between any of the five base classes or the more advanced options you come across in later levels.

If you’re interested, head on over to the App Store, Google Play, or Amazon Appstore right now to get Unison League for free.

Dragon Land is an exciting new 3D platformer developed by Social Point

Dragon Land is an exciting new 3D platformer developed by Social Point, of Dragon City and Monster Legends fame, that just launched on iOS and Android.

You play as a cute dragon who’s set off on a journey through its beautiful homeworld of Dragon Land to rescue its friends who’ve been captured by the evil Borg.

There are hundreds of challenging levels to run, jump, and glide through, as well as a huge variety of enemies to defeat and items like coins, crystals, and secret keys to collect.

Every time you complete an episode you’ll rescue another one of your dragon friends who’ll be unlocked as a playable character. Each dragon has its own abilities like gliding or climbing walls, which can be key to completing a level later on, and you can level up your dragons to improve these abilities.

Aside from the campaign there’s a much briefer quick play mode which provides short adventures in which you have to collect as many coins as possible without being caught by a chasing ghost. You’ll earn rewards based on how many you collect.

Then there’s the multiplayer tournament in which you race through a level against three other dragons, using your abilities to try and thwart their attempts to win. It’s ranked and you’ll earn rewards based on where you place.

If you’re sold, follow this link [download] to get Dragon Land right now for free.

Unison League is a unique JRPG that needs to be on your radar

If it’s not already, Unison League needs to be on your radar. It’s an interesting twist on the classic JRPG that throws you into cooperative real time battles with up to four of your friends, and it’s out right now on iOS and Android.

This isn’t an all-action affair though. You’ll need real skill and an eye for tactics if you want to pull off a Unison Attack, which is an incredibly powerful move that summons a creature to devastate your enemies.

There are PvE battles against the AI and tougher guild battles, which pit two teams of up to 10 players against each other in a scramble to see who can destroy the opposing team’s crystal first.

If you don’t have enough friends playing to form a guild, you can use the lobby to make new ones. Here you can chat, perform emotes, and send friend requests to all players before setting out to complete a quest or two with them.

Oh, and there’s a private guild lobby where you can discuss strategies too.

Unison League is all about the social gameplay, so it makes sense that there’s an extensive cosmetic system. You can create a character in yours and, well, anyone’s image if you so please, as every aspect of your character is customisable. In fact, there are over four billion different combinations of armour and weapons.

You won’t be locked into a specific class either, as you can change it at any point and gain access to new skills and abilities. There are five base classes to begin with and you’ll unlock more advanced options as you level up.

Over in Japan, Unison League has performed admirably, and frequently snags a place in the top 15 grossing games chart in the Japanese App Store. It also regularly collaborates with major Japanese IPs, most notably Attack on Titan and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Unison League was developed by Ateam, the hit studio which also released Dark Summoner. It was such a success that it got the number one spot in the top grossing chart on the Google Play store and the downloads chart in the US App Store. Other titles you may recognise include Three Kingdoms Smash, Derby Impact, and War of Legions.

Head on over to the App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon Appstore to check out Unison League right now. German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese versions will also be released soon.

You can now enjoy Jelly Blast! in Thai, Indonesian, and Portuguese

Jelly Blast! has just received a sizeable update which includes a bunch of new features, levels, and languages which all greatly expand on the sweet-themed experience.

There are 45 brand new levels which will pose a challenge to even the most hardened Jelly Blast! or match three puzzler veterans.

You won’t be going it alone though. There’s a brand new blocker which will help give you a helping hand in these levels – the Magical Lotus.

And you’ll need it – particularly in the tough new event in which the Jelly Kingdom is under attack by the legendary beast Nian. You’ll have to light firecrackers if you want a chance at defeating him and saving the Jelly Kingdom.

If you feel the need to brush up on your skills before facing Nian, you can go back and play through any previous levels in the game using the new Jelly Road Map. Here you can teleport to any unlocked level instantly – all thanks to Mr. Hare.

Rounding out this impressive update are localisations in Thai, Indonesian, and Portuguese languages.
