Amuzo Games has just released its new game, called Cato and Macro, on the Google Play Store.

The strategy game is based on the Simon Scarrow novels that the game borrows its name from, and highlights the adventures of the titular heroes as they look to help prosper the Roman Empire.

According to the press release, Amuzo has been working closely with the author; Scarrow notes that he especially wanted accuracy. “It was really important to me that the game stay true to the Cato and Macro novels and I’m delighted with how it’s turned out,” he says. “Expect to see plenty of blood, brutality and Macro-isms!”

Amuzo’s Managing Director Mike Hawkyard is excited. “As a fan of the books it was an honor to help bring Cato and Macro to life on smart devices,” he says. “I think players are really going to like the battles as well as gain more insight into the ruthless world Simon Scarrow’s characters inhabit.”
