N.O.V.A. 2 Now Available For Android

Gameloft’s Halo-esque first person shooter series N.O.V.A. is returning to Android. The sequel, N.O.V.A. 2, has finally been released for Android smartphones. The game features 12 chapters in it’s single-player mode, taking players through various “Orbitals” (sounds original, eh?) in the game’s universe. As well, there’s a 10 player multiplayer mode across 10 levels (no word if these include the new levels available as an in-app purchase for the iOS versions), a new ranking and perk system, and new weapons. Owners of the first game will get a bonus achievement and extra XP. How’s that for fostering customer loyalty? The game is available for $4.99, but is not available on the Android Market yet – it must be downloaded from Gameloft’s own web-based store, accessible from this link, or by visiting Gameloft.com from any Android phone. The ability to sideload applications is necessary as well.
