Rhapsody For Android

Nov 17, 2010

For those of you with a Rhapsody subscription and an Android powered device you can now go download the Rhapsody app version 2.0 from the Android Market. This newest version is supposed to be a huge step up from the original beta and has some key additions. Rhapsody is a subscription based online music service with a catalog of over 10 million songs available for unlimited listening anytime from any supported device. The Rhapsody app for Android offers the portability and freedom of listening at anytime from anywhere even without having an internet connection.

First off you must have a subscription to utilize this app. Rhapsody does offer a 14 day free trial but after that it’s a $9.99 a month so make sure you cancel before the end of the trial if you do not wish to be charged. With the Rhapsody app for Android you will be able to:

  • Search – Search and browse by artist, album or track.
  • Music Guide – Browse new releases, charts of top music in Rhapsody, playlists and more.
  • Rhapsody Radio – Listen to ad free stations based on a specific artist, genre, or theme.
  • Build and save playlists and music in “My Playlists” and “My Library.”
  • Download playlists and listen even without an active connection.

I can only assume all you Android using Rhapsody fans are excited while everyone else is just plain curious. So, without keeping you any longer, here are some screenshots, a video, and a download link to get you going.
