Make Silent Mode More Intelligent with Advanced Silent Mode

Sep 14, 2012

Some people can sleep through any sound their phone throws at them. I’m one of those people. I’m pretty sure I’ve started sleeping through phone calls and alarms now. Advanced Silent Mode is not an app for me then. It’s for the normal people who do find themselves waking up from a restful slumber when their friend texts them about “OMG did you see what happened with Mark last night OMG OMG OMGGG!”

The app can be set up in one of three ways: First, only calls and SMS can come through, all other notifications will go silent. Second, only calls and messages from people on the contacts list will make a sound. Third, only calls and/or messages from specific contacts will make a sound, the rest will go silent. Although there appears to be no timer trigger for those looking to set up silent mode when they go to sleep, this app can help make sure that those important calls and messages come through when absolutely necessary. Advanced Silent Mode is available from Google Play for $1.99.
