SoundHound Now Offers Free Unlimited Music Recognition

Dec 28, 2010

Watch out Shazam, SoundHound is making moves! SoundHound has removed the 5 music IDs per month cap from the free version of SoundHound and replaced it with unlimited music recognition. That’s right, UNLIMITED!

SoundHound is a music search and discovery application which uses Sound2Sound technology to provide users with the world’s fastest music recognition system and the world’s only viable singing and humming search. What does that all mean? That means you can play a song, hum a song or think about a song (just kidding about the last one) and SoundHound will recognize it, display a match, bookmarks, lyric downloads and much more. It’s a really good app for when you just have to know who sings a song or when you are having a hard time remembering the name of that song stuck in your head.

SoundHound has seen tremendous success in the past year boasting a 500 percent increase in users and a usage increase of 1000 percent, with millions of hits per day. SoundHound is extremely thankful and wishes to reward its users with this new offering of unlimited free music recognition. The free version still includes all the usual features along with being ad supported. An ad free version is also available for purchase and includes some additional premium features. If your worried about space, don’t be, SoundHound has the ability to be moved to SD on Android devices running Android 2.2 and above. Be sure to check out the links below for more information on SoundHound along with a quick video. Thanks SoundHound!
