There’s nothing quite worse than when a phone gets lost or stolen. Not only is the phne lost, but personal data is gone as well. Thankfully, DI Webtech has an interesting backup solution available on Google Play. The name is a mouthful: Track Lost Phone & Get Backup. It can track the GPS location of a device. It can remotely hide apps, and backup information to the SD card. There’s a pager mode in order to force even a silent phone to ring when notified through SMS.
But its most interesting feature? Why, that might just be the ability to discreetly get backups when a phone is lost. By texting “Backup” to the phone with the user’s password, it will automatically email a backup of contacts, messages, and call log to the user. As well, if a phone is stolen and the SIM card replaced, then it will silently email all of the user’s data, along with the new user’s data, in order to help track down just who the culprit is. Very handy and very sneaky. The app is free to download from Google Play.
