Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars Released on Android at Last!

GTA: Chinatown Wars, a 2009 game about a disgraced low-ranking Yakuza’s adventures in a top down version of Liberty city has finally been released on Android 5 years later. With its tight controls, good plot ad general GTA like insanity it is still a great buy. This version of GTA also arrives with external controller support and widescreen support for joypad toting gamers.

Pick it up on the Google Play store for $5 and expect a review of this old but fun game soon.

New Turn-based Strategy Game Scrolls Unfurls Exclusively on Android!

Mojang, developers of the ridiculously popular mobile version of Minecraft have released their second game on Android. Entitled Scrolls the game promises “The best bits of card and board games, combined on your tablet!

Scrolls seems to be a hex based strategy game involving cards, known in game as scrolls. With over 350 scrolls spread over four differing factions, there is a recipe for some steaming strategic goodness here.

Scrolls contains IAP and is launching solely on Android at this point in time. A iOS release date has yet to be announced.

Asher Vollmer and Greg Wohlwend’s hit iOS puzzle game Threes is available now on Google Play, ported by Hidden Variable. The game just released last month to the App Store, and after a quick gestation period, the game has made the jump to Android. Match together tiles to form higher and higher numbers without filling up the board. Our stream of the game on 148Apps is a great place to learn what it’s about.
