The strategy game is based on the Simon Scarrow novels that the game borrows its name from, and highlights the adventures of the titular heroes as they look to help prosper the Roman Empire.
According to the press release, Amuzo has been working closely with the author; Scarrow notes that he especially wanted accuracy. â€œIt was really important to me that the game stay true to the Cato and Macro novels and Iâ€™m delighted with how itâ€™s turned out,” he says. “Expect to see plenty of blood, brutality and Macro-isms!â€
