No stranger to releasing Android titles, Marvel Comics announced at New York Comic Con last week that they have two more titles heading for the Android OS soon.
The first of these titles, releasing on the Google Play store on November 21st, is the popular Facebook and iOS game Marvel: Avengers Alliance. This turn based combat game made huge splashes on Facebook and now finally sees it way to Android, incorporating missions and items from the upcoming movie Thor: The Dark World.
Additionally, Marvel also announced a new IP called Marvel Run Jump Smash! In this game, players use a host of their favorite Marvel heroes in an endless runner, running, jumping and smashing. No word on this game’s release date, but we do have a trailer
Thor’s hammer to drop on Android devices this fall to coincide with the release of the new movie. Gameloft has teamed up with Marvel once again to bring Thor: The Dark World to Android, a free-to-play title that features more than 100 missions against Marauders and Dark Elves. It’s up to Thor to lead Asgardian forces into battle to regain order in the Nine Worlds.
“Thor: The Dark World – The Official Game will allow fans of the franchise to play as one of Marvel’s most iconic Super Heroes in a game of epic scope and beauty.†said Javon Frazier, VP Games Marketing at Marvel, in a press release. “With this new game, we are further expanding the successful relationship between Marvel and Gameloft.”
