If you never played the Mega Man Battle Network games, you missed out on a rather unique RPG battle system experience. However, Sets and Settings, comprised of Folmer Kelly and Andrew Nissen, thought that the combat was too stop-and-go. So, they’ve taken the split 6×3 grid concept and are making Trestle, a fast-paced action game where there are no cards to speak of, only action and survival with random weapon pickups and challenging enemies to take on.

As well, some bonus characters will be available, including Jones on Fire‘s Emma Jones. She can use a flamethrower, which is either ironic or apropos:
The game is still in development but should release in early 2014 for multiple platforms including PC, iOS, and Android.
