Temporary Phone Lock Provides Security and Convenience, Thwarting Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin once wrote that “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” However, Thomas Jefferson never had a smartphone, and if he used Temporary Lock, he might change his tune. After all, it’s annoying to have a device security lock enabled, when all we want to do is to quickly swipe to unlock our phones. What Temporary Lock does is register as a device administrator after installation, offers users the opportunity to set a 4–6 digit password, then takes users to the main app screen. The big “Press Here” Temp Lock icon will cause the screen to lock with the requirement to key in the unlock code on the next time the phone is unlocked. Simple as that. It’s flexible security, designed to protect users when they want to be protected, but to offer convenience when necessary. There’s a free version and a pro version that offers widget options for quick use of the app.
