HandyGames, one of the leading, independent developers and publishers of mobile games, has announced that an ad supported version of Aporkalypse – Pigs of Doom is now available for free in the Android Market and for JavaME powered phones.

Aporkalypse – Pigs of Doom focuses on an ancient prophecy that, at sometime in the distant future, four Pigs of Doom will herald the end of the world. It seems, however, that something has gone terribly wrong and that the Gates of Heaven and Hell have already opened!

With the pigs unleashed, it’s up to you take control of the gluttonous Hunger Pig, the heavily-armed War Pig, the diseased Pest Pig and the ghostly Death Pig to end the madness as you make your way through a cataclysmic world of puzzles and dangers.

Each character features its own unique power, such as Hunger Pig’s ability to swallow entire objects and spit them up anywhere he needs them; War Pig’s ability to fire his nose canon to clear out enemies or other targets; Pest Pig’s ability to overpower and control an enemy with his stinky plague cloud; and Death Pig’s ability to reave the souls of the dead, teleporting to a dead enemies location.

Through the touch-screen interface of your Android powered phone, you’ll have several ways to maneuver the pigs around, over and through deadly obstacles, dangerous gaps and plenty of bad guys who want to steal your coins for themselves.

You’ll have to use your wits to combine the supernatural powers of the Pigs of Doom to solve puzzles, collect coins, blow up the bad guys and banish the angels and demons back to where they belong.

Featuring cartoony graphics and 30 puzzle-filled levels, you’ll have to prove that you stand a swine’s chance in Hell if you hope to save the world’s bacon.

HandyGames, which also produces games for iOS devices, BlackBerry, and soon Windows Mobile 7 phones, is also known for its other fine games such as: Anno — Create a New World, Aces of the Luftwaffe, the Townsmen series, Devils and Demons, Shark or Die, Guns’n’Glory and Panzer Panic.
