Gameloft Releases Wild Blood Trailer Full of Swords, Villains, and Power Metal

Aug 23, 2012

Gameloft announced a while back that they would be releasing some games powered with the Unreal Engine, which has been somewhat forgotten as a multiplatform mobile game engine thanks to Unity being used in pretty much everything nowadays. However, the first fruits of their work in Unreal are “coming soon” as showcased in the trailer for Wild Blood. Not much is known about the game, except that the game is an original IP based on what Gameloft has described as “a well-known character from history.” They also challenged the internet to figure out who it is.

Our guess is that it’s not someone known for their pacifism, what with all the swords, lightning, and just generally excessive violence. Yes, despite Gameloft’s recent run of social games, this looks like it’s getting back to the thing they do best: console-style action games. Also, we’re pretty sure that soundtrack from the trailers was composed by Dragonforce’s non-union Mexican equivalent. Still, this kind of game is the thing that power metal bands live for, man.
