OpenFeint Giving Thanks With 8 New Titles

Nov 23, 2010

Popular social gaming platform OpenFeint has its plate full with things to be thankful for this holiday season. In just a short span of 2 months on Android OpenFeint support has resulted in 8 million game downloads across 1.6 million Android devices (that’s a lot of gravy). With users in 176 countries on over 143 different devices their global success shows just how popular social gaming on Android has become. OpenFeint’s Android debut was a strong one consisting of only a few popular titles. Since then they have amassed an Android gaming catalog of over 100 games and counting.

This impressive growth on Android has OpenFeint excited about its future with the Android community and can be seen in statements like the one from VP of Marketing and Developer Relations at OpenFeint:

“We love the reception OpenFeint is getting from the Android community,” says Eros Resmini, VP of Marketing and Developer Relations at OpenFeint. “And we’re just getting started; we have over 300 games in development for Android.”

To show their appreciation and their commitment to the Android community they have announced 8 new titles they will be releasing just in time for the holiday. This list includes some top hits from iOS and titles from leading developers like Konami Digital Entertainment and Hudson:

  • Jet Car Stunts (True Axis) – Coming Soon!
  • MUST.EAT.BIRDS (Mediatonic)
  • Solipskier (Mikengreg)
  • Frogger (Konami Digital Entertainment)
  • Bomberman Dojo (Hudson)
  • aTilt 3D Labyrinth FridgeCat Software – Coming Soon!
  • Word Mix (Greenrift Software LLC)
  • Kilgamore Castle (Hyperbees Ltd)

This should be enough to keep you busy while you’re digesting your turkey dinner. Thanks OpenFeint, keep em’ coming.
